It’s been a while since a good kung-fu movie has been in theaters, am I right? I am, and it’s a damn shame, but for those of us who’ve been waiting for a dope movie with thrilling action, gut-busting comedy, and some sick choreography that aren’t necessarily too eager to go see “Magic Mike“, today comes a glimmer of hope called “The Man With The Iron Fists.” Slated for release this October, the RZA directed beat-em-up (yes, the RZA) takes place in feudal China as a small town blacksmith is placed into a position where he must fight to defend himself and his fellow villagers. A lot of big names came together to work on this one, RZA being accompanied by Eli Roth in the writing phase, while Quentin Tarantino handled the production. The movie stars Russel Crowe, Lucy Liu, and Jamie Chung, and the soundtrack will feature new tracks from The Black Keys, Wiz Khalifa, Kanye West, and of course the Wu-Tang Clan and RZA himself. Sounds like a must-see to me. Check out the trailer below, and make sure to comment. I’m gonna go sign up for some classes in Kung-Wu.
Wu-Tang Clan ain’t nothin’ to f*ck with.
