If the massive size of the iPhone 6 seems too much to handle, then pay attention to the Apple iPhone SE. Unveiled earlier today, the latest Apple creation is a smaller, but powerful alternative to its much bigger brothers. Let’s dive into what we know
Apple iPhone SE – What we know
As far as the basics of the phone go, there’s a lot of power in the 4-inch aluminum frame. The SE features the same 64-bit A9 chip found in the iPhone 6s and Plus versions. That means you can look forward to faster speeds and longer battery life.
In addition to a better processor there’s also a serious camera included. The 12-megapixel iSight camera isn’t there just for clearer pictures and better focus. Focus Pixel technology is present on the SE for fast focusing as well as an Apple image signal processor, advanced noise reduction, third-generation local tone mapping and better face detection. Basically it’s all better with the SE. You’ll also have access to Live Photos and 4K video. The 4K video comes in at amazing resolutions in addition to featuring Retina Flash and up to 63-megapixel panorama photos.
Another iPhone 6 feature coming to the SE is the ability to access Siri with the quickness. All you have to do is say “Hey Siri” and you’ll have her doing the work in no time.
Additional upgrades like Apple Pay, Touch ID and faster Wi-Fi are also included with the smaller iPhone.
You can expect the Apple iPhone SE will be available in space gray, silver, gold and rose gold finishes in 16GB and 64GB models starting at $399 USD from Apple’s retail stores,Apple.com, Apple Authorized Resellers and select carriers. Orders will be accepted beginning Thursday, March 24, with availability beginning Thursday, March 31.
