Don't worry, keep reading it's not as bad as you think; or, maybe it is...

Before I dive into my first article, I thought I’d introduce myself. I’m Ben, and I’m a new contributor to all the dope readers of AHOODIE. Being from the United KIngdom like a couple of the other bloggers, I’m really looking forward to introducing you all to some brands, pieces of music and other cool stuff that have been pretty low key; until now. To get the ball rolling, here’s the first unsung hero from a small street, in a popular area of Cornwall.

In a market as competitive as fashion, where every out becomes the new in-thing in a matter of weeks, brands have to find some sort of niche in order to survive against the likes of pesky greyed-out gorillas, taunting terrorist weapons and the big swoosh. But how to do it? simple; have a name that's incredibly eye-catching, a party-rock image and prices which are ridiculously thoughtful for beach bums.

If your parents haven't got the parental block on too high, you can also find the online store for SLUT Clothing. Although lacking a wide base of products right now, SLUT offer a variety of simple, but eye catching T-shirts and hoodies, all with trippy and lets-get-crazy colours. Although SLUT mostly use their lightening bolt ‘Thor' logo, unlike many other surfing/party brands there are occasional acts of randomness, with designs often crossing over to something you'd wear at a folk festival (like ‘Dream', below), or ‘Churchill' which takes a quirky look on history. If you're feeling brave you can even up the ante, and rock their ‘Sorry Girls, I'm Gay..' Tee which comes in pink or white.

The pricing of these products isn't too bad either, with a typical Tee costing about £25 and A HOODIE (get it!?) being just over £50. After buying a couple of their products, I'd say buying a SLUT is worth every penny, with their wares also being crafted by LA Apparel in the United States. In fact, the Tees compete for printing quality against A Bathing Ape, while having almost 1/3 of the price tag here in Blighty.

You can check SLUT's range on their official site, slut.co.uk. If you buy, though be prepared to give your grandmother an alternate reading of what the sleeve-orientated smut says!

(Please note that the 30% sticker is only on the ‘Stag’ below because it’s the only picture I could get, and while this great saving might be for now they’ll all be gone later!)
