For those of you AHOODERS in America, you’re possibly reading this article in a pair of Jordan retros or maybe even the latest Ronnie Fieg collaboration, but for our friends in Europe the obsession is dominated by one name: Air Max. Recognizing the insatiable thirst for fresh colorways on classic models like the Air Max 1, 90 and 95, Nike put together this pack to pay tribute to some of its biggest supporting cities, Paris, London and Milan. Dubbed the “Hometurf” series, each city is blessed with a pack of four shoes each with distinctly inspired material and color choices including the use of Nike’s hyperfuse technology. For Paris, patterned liners and tonal colors dominate while London’s selections pay homage to some of the original color-blocking and design of the models that made them famous. Milan goes for a straight lifestyle approach as rich, suede uppers are set off with vibrant neon colors. More than 12 different shoes make up with the pack, so there’s sure to be something that catches your eye like the way those wheat Air Max 1s from the Milan pack have our names written all over’em.
You can look for these pairs to release in their respective cities February 15, with a general release on March 27, 2013.
What do we think of the Hometurf series? Did London show the other cities how it’s done? Let us know in the comments.
