Over the past couple of years Kevin Durant’s stock has been steadily rising. With a dazzling on-court performance and an affordable eye-catching sneaker he appears poised to stand side-by-side with some of the games current leaders.
After releasing two super limited and creative designs of his Nike KD IV, Durant’s next crack of thunder is fast approaching with the release of the Nike KD IV ‘Year of the Dragon’ (YOTD). This sneaker has many collectors salivating, and the onslaught of images that pour in by the week do not help. Take my word for it, I have had to clean my keyboard twice after looking at high quality images of these kicks.
However, this blog isn’t just about the super limited YOTD KD IVs that are inching towards release, but the recent announcement that the raw design for the Nike KD IV YOTD will hit Nike iD’s online custom sneaker creation software on January 31, 2012. Many classic and contemporary sneakers have released on Nike iD, to the pleasure of custom collectors everywhere, but nothing featuring a limited quickstrike sneaker’s design.
Particularly special additions to the shoe that a consumer can expect is the KD IV YOTD’s signature wave design on the strap, and the dragon graphic that whips and winds across the heel and ankle area. C’est la vie!
