In just a few short years, the Bay Area’s own Pink Dolphin Clothing has made a name for themselves in the American streetwear scene. With help from some high-profile co-signs like TI, Juelz Santana, Mac Miller, Wale and others it was only time before this brand began to blow up. And now we’ve gotten our hands on their Spring 2012 lookbook, which was released late last night. Similar to some of the collections we’ve seen from Pink Dolphin before, this once again utilizes graphic tees, hooded sweatshirts, crewnecks and snapbacks as the main weapons of choice. The famous ‘waves’ logo makes an appearance, which isn’t surprising considering its meaning to the brand, “The three waves from top to bottom represent chaos, alertness and calmness. The dolphins leaping outward display rarity, intelligence and ‘sky's the limit.'” And of course the ‘promo logo’ with the cross and japanese writing makes an appearance draped in Pink Dolphin’s newly-created camo pattern. The collection does feature some pieces in colors that are less dramatic than the teals and pinks we usually see including a sharp burgundy snapback with a nautical theme.
Look for the Spring 2012 Pink Dolphin collection to drop via their website on March 9. If you’re familiar with Pink Dolphin’s online releases, this one will be more of the same aka a test of just how fast your Internet is. Stay tuned to ahoodie for more info as other pieces from the collection come to light.
