Supreme is known by the world as the premier blend of urban and skate styles blended together, creating unique, quality goods. Supreme has collaborated with many high profile brands before, like Vans, Cinellli, Hanes, Bape, Timberland, and even Nike. Today starting on the 15th, Supreme will be kicking it up a notch. Supreme is making a capsule collection with the first denim brand in the world, Levi Strauss and Co. The collection encompasses classic workwear used in urban trends today, all made with denim, leather, or suede.
When I heard about this collabo, I naturally forgot about everything else and went straight to the jeans; after all, this is Levi’s legacy. The jeans are crazy clean (selvedge, of course), and use the 505 Zip-Fly (straight leg fit) silhouette. The jeans get a black or raw wash, and look like normal Levi’s. However, American flag-esque stars are printed neatly on the waistband, lending that rocker look. The Levi’s signature red/white brand tab on the pocket is also orange/black for whatever reason. A Levis X Supreme waist patch is also featured, keeping the traditional Levi’s logo but putting “for Supreme” on the bottom. Complimenting this are the denim bucket hats, which look ridiculous (unless you’re going on a safari or fishing), but are probably aimed at those people who do those type of things. They match the wash of the jeans too, so don’t hate. Let the fishermen get their swag in check.
The jackets and vests are equally as clean, utilizing indigo or black denim for the vests, as well as tan suede and leather for the jackets. Metal hardware, chest pocket, and zippered buttons complete these joints. That’s all there is to it, save the same stars from the jeans printed on the lining. Matching this are the chambray shirts, which, again, are simpler than Adidas’s Kobe II’s, and have black buttons and chest pockets, coming in grey or light blue. Check the pictures below, the fits made by all Supreme X Levi’s aren’t bad at all.
And on top of all that, the entire collection is made in the US! That in itself is a reason to cop something here.
