While it’s not the official Nike Mag announcement, the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 still feels like the future with self-tying laces. One more time. The Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 has actual power laces, and will release later this year to the public. At yesterday’s Innovation Summit, the Nike crew rolled out one of the most advanced shoes ever.
Designed by the GOAT Tinker Hatfield with the assist from Mark Parker and Tiffany Beers, the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 brings power laces to the public. According to Beers, “When you step in, your heel will hit a sensor and the system will automatically tighten. Then there are two buttons on the side to tighten and loosen. You can adjust it until it’s perfect.” But seeing is believing, so peep the video below.
We told you this feels like the future.
While prices aren’t known, we can tell you the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 will launch in three colorways: white, black and grey. Initially the power lacing kicks will be available exclusively to Nike+ members. It’s probably time to get signed up for that ASAP. Stick with Brotherhood for more updates.
